Former Dell executive advances Infinio’s channel presence to leverage partnerships, extend market reach and deliver innovative storage acceleration solution to customers
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 22, 2015 – Infinio, a market leader in storage acceleration for virtualized data centers, today announced the appointment of Bob Skelley as the company’s vice president of global channel. Skelley will manage all channel and partner relationships for Infinio globally, enabling the company to expand its market opportunity for its storage acceleration solutions for virtualized data centers.
Skelley comes to Infinio with more than 20 years of experience in channel, business development, sales and marketing within storage, virtualization and enterprise IT environments. Prior to Infinio, Skelley served as Dell’s executive director of North American channel sales, managing the entire ecosystem, including regional partner relationships and sales engagement. Before Dell, he served EqualLogic as its global vice president of channel strategy and operations, implementing EqualLogic’s go-to-market channel model. Skelley was also previously Microsoft’s director of U.S. distribution and VAR channels, where he managed OEM, system builder, value-added reseller (VAR) and distribution businesses.
Arun Agarwal, CEO and co-founder of Infinio, said, “Bob joins Infinio at an exciting time in the company’s development. Our mission is bold: we’re looking to fundamentally shift both the economic and performance curves of data center storage. It’s a huge undertaking but also an equally big opportunity, and channel partners have a critical role as trusted advisors of data center administrators. Bob’s track record speaks for itself — he will make our early channel partners as successful as he did at Microsoft, EqualLogic and Dell.”
Skelley’s appointment furthers Infinio’s channel-focused strategy for Infinio Accelerator, its flagship solution, which helps organizations scale storage performance using a server-side, software-based approach to support growing virtualized enterprise applications and desktops. Partners working with Infinio can expand their revenue opportunities by working with companies that want to improve upon or build new data center environments.
“Infinio has a disruptive solution that offers an excellent value proposition and market opportunity for the channel,” said Bob Skelley, Infinio’s vice president of global channel. “Infinio is investing heavily in the channel and, by working with our partners, Infinio will greatly expand the reach of its innovative storage acceleration solutions.”
