We’ve extended Infinio’s storage system support to include SAN and Unified Storage environments, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCoE, and environments with multiple protocols. Like our current NFS product, version 2.0 remains operationally transparent to your existing storage arrays, supporting all native storage capabilities, such as snapshots, replication, and VAAI integrations. Infinio 2.0 also continues to provide scalable management with our wizard-driven installation, one-click datastore acceleration, and instant access to advanced reporting.
Infinio 2.0 adds new, application-level reporting that starts with a weekly datastore view and enables you to drill down to a minute-by-minute, per-application view. You can easily explore the impact of Infinio on each virtual machine, and evaluate the benefits of cache on critical business applications. Included in this feature is the ability to determine which workloads are responsible for increasing the load on storage, and which workloads are best suited for Infinio caching
New in v2.0, Cache Advisor helps administrators determine how much memory to dedicate to Infinio’s cache. Cache Advisor allows you to select any past interval of time, and see how that specific performance would have been different with various larger physical cache sizes. The result? Help in deciding how much memory you dedicate to Infinio, based on your actual workloads.
Infinio 2.0 continues our commitment to virtual desktops as a key use case for our customers. By tuning the cache with heuristics and algorithms that better support VDI workloads, this newest version of the product will help administrators provide an even better experience to virtual desktop users while driving down the costs of VDI deployments.
